CONTROL OF RACING

H.B. District Committee The Hawke s Bay District Racing Committee met in the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's office yesterday. Present: Messrs G. D. Beatson (in the chair), T. V. Morrin, W. J. Wood, J. H. MaqNiven, J. J. Gatenby, W. H. Gaisford, G. Ebbett and F. P. Kelly. •Tbe New Zealand Racing Conference forwarded reports on. riding at race meetings, and apprentice lieence* is, suecl. Approval was received of the change of dates of the Napier Park and Woodville Racing dubs. The programme of -the Waipukurau Easter meeting was approved, and the club's application for April 3 as the date for the Dannevirke club under the control of the ^Waipukurau qlub was approved ; also the programme for that date. The New Zealand Racing Conference forwarded a form for all clubs to complete when submitting programmes, showing that the rules regarding stakm had bees, $arried out. i
