Allwright who presented the views of the Opiki branch on the subject. He pointed out that as a result of the present high pnce of wool, the fat lanib breeder would be paying a high price for breeding ewes sowat for every £1 he received on his wool this season, he would have to spend an extra £2 for ewes. Nobody begrudged the wool men their present harvest for they had had their bad times as well. However, although he would have to pay a higher price fof his ewes, the fat lamb man had no guarantee that he would not have to meet a slump in the near future. Under such circumstances a guaranteed price would be economically souud,
