Miss H. C. Burt, Putere

TRANSFERRED TO TARADALE

WAIROA, This Day. A gathering at the Putere schoolhouse said farewell to Miss H. C. Burt, who has been sole teacher for the last 12 years in the Putere Lakes districfc. Miss Burt, who has done good serviee in the school since it was opened about 12 years ago, is now under transfer to Taradale. Mr S. F. Matheson paid a warm tribute to Miss Burt for her services, and presented her with a handbag and travelling clock. Miss Patty Horne presented her with a bouquet from the pupils of the school, and Miss Burt made a suitable reply.
