DUNEDIN, Last Night. The hearing of the charge against John lliely, farmer, of Otokia, of cattle stealing, was continued at the Supreme C'ourt to-day. The charge was that Riely on or about November 10, 1936, at Otokia, stole two steers of a value of £20, tlie property of Eliza J,ane Walker. On an alternative count Riely was charged with receiving two steers from some person or persons unknown knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. Accused was found not guilty on the first count and guilty oii the second and remanded for sentenoe till Tuesday next.
