CHEISTCHTJECH, This Day. Conditions were pleasant for work at Eiccarton this morning, though there was a cold wind before breakfast. Mo-st of the galloping was done on the o|fc'side of the course proper, which was in good order, but a number of horses went on the plough, which was fast. There were some interesting trials o: horses with engagements on Saturday. On the Plough. Koaming and Lofty, after going slowly for half a mile, ran home over the last three furlongs in 39secs. Wild Chase and Top Notch broke away from the seven-furlong post. They took 50 3-5secs. for the first four furlongs, and Wild Chase finished in 1.29 "3-5, having drawn away from his mate in the run home. He was always goingwell, Paper Slipper ran six furlongs in 1.16 1-5, 'a good effort. Haughty Winner led Mulatto by a length over half a mile in 49 3-5. Eoyal Chief began better than Cerne' Abbas from the six-furlong post. They were together after doing three furlongs in 87 1-5 and finished the journey in 1.16 1-5 with both travelling strongly Pink Robe and 'Primax ran five furlangs in 1/4 2-5, Sunbeam and Lustral taking 1.5. Bright Red went about nine furlongs, Paru poining in oveir the last seven in 1.33. Comus and Dictate ran half a mile in 50 2-5. Invoice ind In The Dark covered_ three furlongs in 37 1-5, Garonne taking '39 sec. : Heloise and Mercenary were companions over six furlongs, which "took 1.17 3-5. Rose of Tralee took 1.21 1-5 for six furlongs. * ; * _ . Chidden and Sovereign Lady finished a mile in 1.45 3-5, going at an even pace all the way. Kjiockfin and Gaysome were on terms over six furlongs in 1.16 4-5, Concert Pitch following in 1.17 2-5, going comfortably } while Recollection and Cape Gabo were hot hurried :to 'cover the distance in 1.19 1-5." Argentic and Tunnerller were mates over seven 'furlongs. Nightbound and Gresham ran half a mile in 49 4-5. Rotokino, going easily, ran the same distance in 53 2-5. Polydora • strolled along about 9- mile and a-quarter taking 1.47 for the last mile. Happy Night ran half a mile nicely in 49 3-5. Forum ,beat Palady over seven furlongs in 1.30 1-5, a smart effort. Palmyra heat Rebel Chief easily over half a mile in 49 1-5. Orange Bud beat Offlisgleam over six furlongs in 1.18 2-5. with Dropped Catch several lengths further back. Great Bramble led Night Dress over half a mile up the .back in 50sec. Eouisseau and J o youn took 1.17 3-5 for six furlongs, Golien Dart following in 1.20, while Derive ran the last half-mile of her worlc in 53 3-5. Eoy Bun did five furlongs in 1.5 3-5, Screamer following in 1.5 1-5. Skylass eovered a mile in 1.48 2-5. Epic and Galnayon took 1.5 for five furlongs. Willie Win, after taking 55 1-5 for tho first half-mile, completed a mile in 2.47 1-5. Yintage registeTed a good effort , over a mile, running the first bait in 51 3-5 and completing the task in •good style in 1.41 1-5. The Jumpers. Noeturnus accompanied -hira, over the first three after the preliminary over one.of the brush hurdles. Hunting Bag went well to pchool5* twice over two brush hurdles. P. T. Hogan arrived overnight . with Queen of Song, Superex, Made Money and Top Eow.
