REMINDERS
The annual inter-house women 's sports will .be held under tliei ices of the Hawke's Bay Aruateur 'Athletie and Cycling Club at Nelson Parlc, Hastings, to-night, bbginning at 7.45. The free li'st is suspcnded. . The Heretaunga Swimming Club draws attention to two partieularlv attractive functions '.which the club has in hand. The first of these is the elub carnival to-moi. row night, which .will present a splendi programme in which there are no fewer than three open raceS — 50, 100 and 220 yards. An added attraction will be the polo match, Hastings v. Napier, after which the Hawke's Bay ham to play the visiting Australians will be seleeted. The interclub carnival al which these latter champions will appear is scheduled for next Tuesday. Tflis is the first occasion on which -up to 10 overseas swimmers have been seen on one programme, and as they number in their party several who can comfortably bfeak 2min. 28sec. for the furlong, some great contests sliould be seen. The- polo, always a popular event, needs little comment, A carnival not to bo missed— ahd the proceeds go to a most deserving body, the Eoyal Life-Saving Society.
