WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. William John Thomas, laboure^ appeared before J. P's. J. W. Elliott and R. McLean in the Waipukurau Court yesterday afternoon charged with drun-

kenness and using obscene language. Thomas was convicted and discharged on the charge of drunkenness and sentenced to 14 days hard la'bour on the charge of using obscen© language.
