Children's Sports At Carnival

WAIROA, Last Night. There was a large atteudauce at the children 's sports organised ,by the retailers in connection with the carnival activities, held to-night. The events took plaee on the Marino Parade and the traffie was diverted for the timo ' being. During the evening free ice creaais were given to the children. A national dancing exhibition was also given by Wairoa and Gisborne performers who had taken part in the national dancing events at the A. and P. Society 's show during the day. The

cxnioxrxon airaciea a xarge numoer ox people, who heartily applauded all the items. The side shows were well patronised, also the carnival cabaret, where dancing was enjoyed by a large number till & late hour.
