ATTACK ON SINGAPORE

Blueland Raiders Bomb Aircraft Carrier big battle soon (Reeeived 4, 11.45 a.m.) SINGAPORE, Feb. 3. Aircraft attacked the aircraft carrier Hermes before the Hermes was able to> launch her bombefs. The Blueland bombers attacked the Seletar aerodrome, while Singapore aircraft. after the attack on the Hermes, were returning to the landing ground. During the night naval patrols and the coast defences were actively engaged beating off Blueland destroyers, which attacked the eastern entrance and attempted to land small parties* . Judges determined that the two destroyers were put out of action and the landing attempts driven off with heavy losses. The manoeuvres will end to-morrow. There is every indication that the big battle for the possession of Singaporo Will talce place to-night. • ^
