The hull of the "Cavalier," the latest addition to the flying-boat fleet of Imperial Airways, being built into a packing-case for ship ment from England to Bermuda to inaugurate the Bermuda-New York air service in March with an aircraft of Pan-American Airways. The case containing the hull of the "Cavalier" is believed to be the largest ever constructed, and is 90ft long. Special arrangements were needed at Rochester for floating the barges and transhipping at London.
