Playing one mau short Hastings could aggregate only 82 (Bowlands 22, Goodall 21). Howard, with six wickets for 44, was the most destructive agent for Mahora, who on going in to but totalfed 120 (J. Lee 36, D. Trumper . 35, J. Dyer not out 11). Colebrook, with six wickets, bowled best for Has- 1 tmgs, who were thus defeated by 38 runs on the first innings.
