The driver was appafeiitly travelling at a smart pace, and as the gate througfi Whieh the coWs Weie ffloVihg was in a dip he did not ttotice thefii "until almost on top of them. He applied his brakes, and the caf skidded across to the left bank, swiifig right round facing the oppositb Way, and fehpsized. The driver escaped nninjured and ihe oniy damage to the Car Was & bfbkefi WifidbW.
