RHINESTONES ARE WORN ON EVENING GOWNS
Clofches useful for holiday or cruise wear are occupying the foremost place at the moment. Sheer and crisp t'abrics for cocktail, evening, and dinner frocks are legion, and nets, iaces, eatin, back chiffon, mousselinej and taffeta, also come in for their share of ' attention. Net frocks are wide-skirted, mounted on taffeta foundations, and sometimes trimmed with velvet, in bands to outline the decolletage and hemline. Other net gowns are in two ehades, made with godets introducing tho seeond colour. Puffed sloeves and low docolletages are features of these frocks, and many are made from taii'eta or slipper satin. , Printed satins for jacket ensembles of the brief, fitted type are useful additions to holiday wardrobes, as they do not cruBh readily. White grounds with large colourful designs are popular with the young people. Daytime and afternoon dresses of printed crepes,- which are obtainable in every variety and combination of colour, are also useful adjuxicts to the holiday and after-the-holidays summer wardrobe, They are made with easyflaring skirts or with pleats to givo fullness, and the slfeeves are frequently elbow or three-quarter lengtha. 'Ehinestones scattered on evening gowna reflect the vogu6) for diamonds in jewellery, and where the princess line is chosen a diamante clip frequently accents the decolletage.
