FAREWELL MORNING TEA FOR MRS F. R. HODGE

Several members of the Hastings Women's Community Club met in their temporary rooms yesterday morning, to bid farewell to one of their members, Mrs F. R. Hodge, who has now left to live in Auckland. The lounge was attractivety decorated with large bowls of blue hydrangeas and beautiful aahlias in many shades. A very pleasant hour was spent chatting together and the guests wero quite envious of Mrs Hodge being fortunate enough to live in Auckland, all agreeing that it was seoond only to Hawke's Bay. The guest of honour wore a small grey taiiored costume with deep blue blouse, hat and gloves. Morning tea was enjoyed by everyone and afterwards Miss Helen Foi'd, on behaif of the club members, wishMrs Hodge much good luck for the future and a happy home in Auckland. A charming farewell gesture of Mrs Hodge's which will be much appreciated was the giving of a donation towards the furnishing fund for the new club rooms. The members present were: Miss Helen Ford, Mrs W. J° White, Mrs D. W. Hursthouse, , Mrs E. Ballantyne, Mrs J. W. Bates, Mrs J. Hai'ris, Mrs A. Giorgi and Miss James. Mr and Mrs F. R. Hodge and Miss Freda Hodge were also the guests of honour at a pleasant evenmg spent at the home ?f Mr Saywell St. Aubyn street. Hastings.
