HASTINGS GARRISON RIFLE CLUB DANCE

The Hastings Garrison Eifle Club organised a dance which was held in the Barrie Studio, Hastings, last evening and, though counter-attractions left the number present xather small, a very jolly evening was spent by all who attended. Excellent music for the daacing was played by Gordon Eedward's orchestra and Mr. O. Johnson was a capable M.O. During the evening a delicious supper was handed round and enjoyed by alh The dance arrgngements were in the hands of a "capable cominittee, who were: Mrs. J. E. E. 'Beale (hon. secretary), Messrs. L. Hampton, D. Graham, J. Eedward, H. MacKay, F. McBride, - iEt. Cullen. Among those present were— Miss Betty Norman, spring broderie anglaise with corsage of georgette in the same shadej having puffed sleeves : and at the waist a georgette sash. Miss Max. Gunn, gown of green chiffon with a floral design and the neck outlined with a flared frill matching the flared epaulettes. Miss J. Bateman, green chlffon with shirred puffed sleeves, the corsage Shirred at the neck ancl caught with a spray of pink roses, and a silver belt. Miss E. Petheriek, honey-gold angelskin lace worn over taffeta land fiaving a sash and collar of veivet in the same shade. Miss G. Giles, deep rose pink satin . with a f riU at the hem and also edging the bertha which was caught with a red rose and diamante clasp. Miss U.' Smith, black cotelle with a fine thread o>f silyer, having draped sleeves. and worn with a shoulder spray of golden tiger-lilies. Miss T. Bnnsley, gown of turquoise taffeta with double flared epaulettes over the shoulders aud a wide sash tied in a large bow at the back. Miss A. Drummond, silvery grey charmelaine with trimmings of white. , Miss L..Lord, white floral silk with a design in- cherry Worn with a wide cherry belt and 'a rose! in the same shade at the neck. Miss L. Beale, Eeep blue crepella trimmed with beige kilted frills on the corsage and sleeves. Miss J. Batt, blue angelskin crepe with small covered buttons from the neck to the waist at the back and fawn trimming. Miss O. Newland, grey frock with collar of white kilted organdie finished in front with a small black veivet bow.
