CHBISTCHUECH, Last Night. Only two f nals xemained to be played in the croquet championships to-day and they were played in perfect weather. Mrs Corbet (Invercargill) won the women 's championship and A. Gibbs (Manawatu) won . the open championship. - ' In the women 's championship final Mrs Corbet took no chances, playing a steady and accurate .game. The final of the. open championship was witnessed by tKe largest gallery of the tournament. Gibbs' win was his seeond in succession. He beat Mrs Gambrill, holder of the North Island women 's championship.' Gibbs. was the more accurate and his opponent's failnres wero costly. Results; — ■ • Women 's championship final: Mrs W. Corbet beat Mrs J.. Palmer, 26 — 2. Open championship. final: A. Gibbs beat Mrs' Gambrill, 26 — 10, 26 — 13.
