ESCAPE FROM DROWNING
- 1 ' w oi m -q Lad in Lake Taupo A narrow escape" from drowning was experienced at the week-end bv the eight-year-old son of Mr H. H. Wylie, of Napier, secretary-mannger °f the Hawke's Bay Electric Bowet Board. The boy was playing in the still water near the lake outlet and Buddenly got out of liis depfch. Hiaplight was noticed by pepple on tho bank, and a Maori lad nained Rakei orought him to the shore, The lad soon recovered after artiticial respiration had been applied and. appeared to be little the worse for hip experience.
