COMING EVENTS
A general meeting of members of the Hastings Women' s Community Club ivill be held in the Women's Division rooms, Heretaunga street, on Monday, February 8, at 3.30 p.m. The Waipawa County Council invites applications up to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, for the position or' motor mechanic to the council. Full particulars may be obtained from the engineer, Mr, V, E. Douglas, The Dannevirke 8how, wnick is to be held on February 9 and 10, with the ram fair on the 11th, is expected to be a record. The entries are coming in splendidly, breeders and farmers generally realising that js it worth their while to visit the Dannevirke Show. The Kennel Club section is very popular this year. Arrangements are being made «to accommodate an extra number of visitors to Dannevirke. All those interested are reminded that entries definitely mnst be in by Frijlay next, January 29, at 8 p.m. Send for all details and schedules to Mr H. S. M. Quigley, box 38, Dannevirke. A cordial invitation is extended to all to go to Dannevirke and enjoy 0ne of the most progressive shows in New Zealand —two days and » carnival each night.
