OBSEQUIES

Mr Robert Ellis The funeral of Mr Robert Eillis, Whenuahou, was largely attended by settlcrs from Central and Southern Hawke's Bay. Mr. Ellis, an old resident of Takapau, had been in failing health for a long time past. He leaves a widow to mourn hea: loss, his otlier relatives in the district being his brother, Mr William Ellis, his nephews, Messrs Robert and William Ellis and his nieces. Mrs Hector Thompson, Napier, and Miss Phillipa Ellis, Kopua The funeral service at the residence and afterwards at the Ormondville cemetery, where the interment was made was conducted by the Rev. H. Blathwayt.
