SHIP MODELLING

Enthusiasm Shown in Napier EXHIBITION POSSIBLE Ship-modelling is becoming a popular craft in Napier. Two men are at present engaged in building models which will eventually find their way into the Napier Museum for exhibition purposes. Mr. I. Husheer is at work on a Spanish * galleon and Mr. J. R. Gribble on a rnodel of the old four masted vessel Cutty Bark. Ship modelling, if taken up in earnest, involves a lot of r-esearch work if models of old-time ships are to be made true to detail. There is no club in Napier, but if sufficient enthusiasm were shown, those at present working on models would welcome a move for the foraation of a club. The suggestion has been made that the Hawke's Bay Arts Society have a display of models of ships, past and present There is a possibility of a model of the trans-Tasman vessel Awatea' being sent to Napier from Sydney, to take its place in the exhibition if held.
