MAN'S ARM BADLY CUT WITH AXE

W AIPUKURAU, Jan. 23. An accident occurred just before the beglnning. of the choppiug events at the Waipukurau Show this mornlng. Mr. Walter McClintock, of Wanganui, was marking the block when the axe, which was Btock into the top of the block, was dislodged by hia arm and fell, cutting his left arm rather badly just below the elbow. Mr, McClintock was rushed to hospital by tbe ambulance for treatment.
