Early-Morning Outbreak In Napier

TWO WASH-HOUSES & BAKERY

Two wash-houses and a balcery were involved in a fxre which caused minor damage in Napier early thfs morning. The wash-house of a residence in Hastings street, owned by the Napier Bcrough Council and oecupied by Mr C. Thoresen, whose wife and family are away at present, caught iire, and bqfore the Fxre Brigade could quell the blaze the flames had spread to the bouse next door, also owned by the council, and oecupied by Mr A. G. Peterkin. The wash-house of the second house caught aliglit, the flamos theu spreading to Mr «T, Wethcrod's bakp.ry, The sum total of damage done is slight, and all the buildings are cov, erod by insuranca.
