SUFFERS BROKEN LEG

Pakowhai Man Kicked by Horse A broken leg was sustained hy Mr J. Hale, aged 21, when he was kicked by a horse while working yesterday afternoon at his mother 's farm at Pakowhai. He is a pa^ient at the Napier Public Hospital, where he probably* will have to remain for two or three months. Mr Hale was oat in a paddock endeavouring to catch some horses, When he had cornered them, one of the horses kicked out with both hind legs, one of them striking Mr Hale on ihe shin. Assistance was soon forthcoming, and a Napier ambulance was summoned and took the injured man to the hospital. His condition is satisfaetory.
