Power Cut Off Af Bay View Electric power was cut off in the Bay View-Eskdale distnet for two houra yesterday afternoon while one of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board' s main feeder lines was being moved to a new position across the Railways' gravel pit at Bay View. While this work was in progress. a large bluegum tree on the property of Mr Reynolds. Eskdale, fell across the lines, breaking the wires. The trouble took som© time to locate} and repairs were effected and the power restored at 6.22 p.m. This is another instance of the drnger of trees near power lines, and pro-perty-owners are advised that the Power Board wlil cut down free of cost all trees "that may be a danger to the lines.
