ONE MILLION DEAD
Casualties in Spanish Civil War (Reeeived 22, 11.5 a.m.) MADRID, Jan. 21. The war has cost the lives of one million Spaniards, aceording to a statement published in "Libertad". Government planes again bombed Oeuta, setting fire to petrol tanks, from which larg© columns of smoke were Been rising. # A naval action was seen from Gibraltar during the night but the ships engaged were not recognised.
