Perry's Reason For Ban on Open Tourneys (Received 21, 9.5 a.m.) NEW ORK, Jan. 20. The '(New York Times," in a leader, comments on an article by Eerry aSn serting that tennis offieials had been guilty of snobbery towards professionals, which was the only reason there was no open tournament. It says: — "No one thinks that Kreisler's violin playing or Toscanini's con« ducting is less inspired because theij have been paid for it."
