tiseceivea 21, y.o a.m.) , BUFFALO, Jan. 20. In a Nortb Ameriean NewspapeF Alliance copyright article, Fted Perry says,: Tbe following is a list of tbose whom I consider tbe ten greatest tennis players of tbe year, ^against all of wbom I have played: Gottfried von Cramm, Donald Budge, Adrian Quist» "Benny" Austin, Jack Crawford, "Bitsy" "Grant, Wilmer Allisonj Viv« McGrath, Roderick Menzel and three who tie for tenth place, F. A. Parker, C. Boussus and C. H. Henkel. To Quist must go third place on. his victory in the Australian championship and his record in Europe. Throughout the trip he was defeated only by Budge. He surprised us in the Davis Cup matches, He has a game Which can be improved. I think we will hear a great deal about Quist this summer. Crawford was the leading player in the world only three years ago. McGrath is oue of those players no one is able to fathom. His fxeak backhand makes him a difficult player te beat.
