ICE-CREAM MADE WITH FRESH FRUITS

Ingredients: llh rige aprlcots, 4oz. sugar, % pint of cream, 1 lemon, ■J pint water. Method: Halve the apricots and remove the stones. Put the fruit in a saucepan with the sugax and water pnd simmer till tender. then ruh through a sieve. Add the strained leinon juice to the fruit puree and let it get quite cold. Whip the creaan slightly, stir into the puree and freeze in the usuaJ way. Other fruits may he suhstituted for apricots, and, if a less expensive ice is v/anted, use custard instead of cream.

To dry wet fur, hang it in a draught and shake from time to time, separatmg the hair. When quite dry, beat with a cane or light stick.
