Alleged False Document remanded at walijukurau

Y7A1PUKUIIAU, Jan. 21. On a charge arising from the alleged makingi of a false document, Keitk Stewart Dawson, Napier, appeared before Messrs E. J. Turner and J. W. Elliott, J.P.'s, in the Waipukurau Court yesterday afteraoon. Dawson was charged with making a false document, a customary hire-pur-chase agreement, for the purchase of a motor-car by Mr John Monaghan from Dawson for £327, this document being made at Napier without the authority of Mr Monaghan, with the intention that it should be acted upon as genuine. Detective-Sergeant Nuttall appeared for the police, and Mr I. W. N. Mackie for the accused, who was remanded to appear at Napier on January 27 Bail was granted of £200 in accused's own recognisance and one surety of £200, provided accused reported daily to the police^
