CHBISTCHUROH, Jan. 10. The New Zealand MaJster Grocers' Federiition decided at its annual confference, which opened here to-day with Mr Erie Gray, Waiapoi, in the chair, to ask the Minister of Industries and Comnierce to fix retaii prices of sugar aud flour througliout" the Dominion. The remit wa's spousored by the Otago Master Grocers' Association. Which gave difficulties with cliain stores as the reason. It 3ed to a general disrussion on price-cutting and the allegation "was made that sugar anr flour were sometimes sold under cost to attract other business. It was etated in the federation's annual report that price fixation agreements with chain stores in some centres for quieker moving lines had been a matter for much isatisf action during the past /ear.
