46 Cases Heard in 1935 : 117 in 1936 NAPIER C0URT BUSINESS A marked increase in juvenile crime is shown by a cooiparison with the statistics of the Napier Magistrate's Court for the past year with those of 1935. Cases dealt with in the Children rs Court have risen in number from 46 in 1935 td 117 in 1936. The numbers of arrest and summons cards issued for the past twelve months also shows a large increasa on the numbers for 1935. Thev civil OOurt business for the period shows a slight drop in both the number of plaints entered and disposed of during the year, and a corresponding drop in the amounts sued for and reeovered. Following is a comparison of the business of the court in all de-part-ments for thO year 1935 and 1936:
