Fines Inflicted on Ofienders A number of offenders for breaches of traffic regulations came before Mr j. Clement James Devlin, charged witk i-ailing to give way to traffic from tke rigkt, pleaded guilty by letter. "He was fined £2 witk costs 17/-. A. H. Dower,. motor meckanic;, of Karamu road, said ke was driving a car when defendant eollided witk kim, striking tke rear side. Jokn Doole was fined £2 and 10/« costs for driving a car without a Iicenee. Tkere was no appearance. Constable Foote stated that it was not a case where tke matter kad been over1 looked. Defendant kad bought a car in Oetober and kad never taken out a ticence. Peter Waiki, charged with negligently driving a lorry in Eastbourne Street, was fined 10/- and costs 10/-. Senior-Sergeant Sivyer, prosecuting, said that tke defendant sw8rved suddenly into a petrol station and struck a cyclist, wko was not hurt.
