PRAISE FOR STATIONMASTER
* 19 t ... , Fraise for the facilities at the Hastings Bailway Station for the transport of young live stock, and a tribute to the stationmaster, Mr. J. P. Cassidy, are contained in the "Railways Magazine. A letter is printed which was received by the general manager of railways, Mr. G. H. Mackley, from Mr. W. C. Growcott, Tomoana. Mr. Growcott states that he reeently had a valuable foal railed from Hamilton to Hastings. When he mentioned his intention to Mr. Cassidy, Mr. Cassidy undertook to advise the stationmasters at Frankton and Hamilton, and impressed on them the ncfwuty of careful handling. Although the foal was railed during the hQliday rush ti-affie, it arrived in the pink of condition, showing no iU effects whatever from tke long journey.
