A "m'ost enjoyable funetion took place at the residence .of Miss Jull, Waipawa, yesteiday :-Jat'ter*noon, when a . liarge- nupiber of members of tha Women, 's Institute? and Plunket Society assembled to extend farewell to Mrs ■ W, A. Sawyer, who is leaving to take uj) residence at* hlarton. The tiine passed quickly with' games and competitions, wnhhefs' being Mrs Kerr and .Mrs E. Mitchell, jrii*. Miss «Tult took;' tli'e opportunity of cxpressiiig .regret .at. the departure of Mrs Sawyer, a"t th'e sauie time wishing her every success. and happiness in her new sphere;. On behalf of the gathering •she asked . Mrs .. Sawyer to accept a handsome . bedrpoip , clock . as a small memento of the. timo, aho had spent in Waipawa, and ap expression of approciation of services slle had rendered in the town..
