WOMEN'S INSTITUTE AT ORMONDVILLE

The. Women 's Institute met in the mpper-room of the Peace Memorial Hall, Mrs H. R. Benbow presiding. Preliminary arrangements were made for ■Ihe forthcoming autumn show. A letter ■ was received from tho Dannevirke Horticultunal and lndustrial SSociety, asking the local institute to enter in .the arts and c'raf ts conipetition to be held at Dannevirke on' Eebruary 25. Corresponde'nce was received from the secietary of the Soutiiern Hawke's Bay Eederation regarding the annual meeting to be'hoid at "Waipukurau in April. lt was agreed to allow the Iteturne'd Soldie'rs ' AsSociation the use of the instit'lte'CrOckery for its meeting. It was decided to hold a sale of work at the autumn show. On account of the monthly nieetiilg .of- the institute not teing -heid last nionth, it was decided to hold the December and. January competitions together at the mcnthly meeting* tonnorrow.
