HJORRING—DONOVAN

The wedding toolc place on January 16 at St. Patrick's Ohureh, Napier, of Alexa, youngest daughter of Mrs H. Tookey, Slialccspeare road, Napier, and the late Mr Donovan, to Ernest Hjorring, of Gisborne, otily son of Mrs Burtpn, Hastings street, Napier, and the late Mr Hjorring. Tho Eev. Dean Holley ofliciated at the ceremony. . The church had . been prettily denorated by friends of the bride with pink and -vvhite flowers. The bride, who was given away by Mr Hall, looked radiant, wearing a ' irock of white. satin. The skirt was long and close-fitting .and inll into a lung train at the back. The slimlitting bodice, buttoned down the back, was allied to long tight-litting sleeves. lier veil of cream tulle was held in place on her head by a silver coronet; bhe wore white satin shoes and earried a sheaf of deep cream lilies. The bride was attended by her maid, Miss McCorhiack, who looked very at.craetive in a frock of apple green windswept crepe, cut on slim lines, with short wide sleeves. On her hair she wore a wreath of pinlc flowers and car.ried a bouquet in pink tonings. The duties of best man were ably earried out by Mr Arthur Donovan, brother of the bride. Eollowing the wedding ceremony a roeeption was held in the ' ' Duek lnn" Tea Rooms. ■ _ 1 Mrs Tookey (bride 's inother) receiyed the guests wearing a smart model frock of navy blue silk figured in white and red. She wore a. navy blue straw hat and a corsage spray of red carnations, berries and maidenhair fern. Mrs Burton (bridegroom 's mother) was wearing a floral crepe de chine frock, with a beige straw hat and a posy of uatural fl.ow.ers. , , When the bride and bridegroom left on the honeymoon tour, the bride was wearing a ' smart brown .frock, brown hat and accessories to fOne. . 4
