BAYLISS— DAVIES A quiet wedding but one of niuch interest was recentiy ceJebrated at tho hoine of Mr and Mrs Bees Davies, Kitchener street, Hastings, .when their only daughter, Margaret ina, was, niarried, to Arthur Gordon, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Bayliss, Takapau. The Rev. D. J. A. Shaw, Presbyterian ininister,' periormed the ceremoay in the sun-porch, which. had Leen adorned witu bovvls of roses,. and through which couid be seen a backgrounu of clumps of blue hydrangeas. The bride was given, away by lier father and lgolced. very charniJiig in a smart ensembie of navy. biue silic, vith a navy summer straw hat ,and lovely shouider-spray , of* , roses and pansies, navy shoes and accessories. Following the ceremony the. bridal party and imjnediate ' rejatives .adjournpd to the drawing-TPom,- where the bride and . brjdegroojn. received ..the heartiest of cpngratulations. "Aftexwards morning tea was se.rved. in the dining-room, where flowers gave an air of f estivity.. Mrs Rees Davies -received the giiests wearing a smart ensembie of ljdo blue silk, with straw hat to inatch; ;a .pretty shouldcr-spray of summer flowers was was worn. . Mrs Bayliss (Takapau)., bridegroom 's mother, wore a smart blacjc and white ensembie, and hat to to.ne. , .
