Proposal to Fly Atlantic in Air Race v BOY AGED ONLY 15 (Heceived 19, 1.55 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 18. The Air Ministry has sold the Comet plane in which C- W. A, Scott and T. Campbell-Black won the Melbourne Air Race to Mr. Thomas Lipton, metal merchant, who intends to fly in the Lindbergh anniversary trans-Atlantic air race in August. The race was originally planned for May, but has been postponed till August for better weather. Mr. Lipton is the winner of many . races in England, His son, John, who is aged 15, is already an experienced flyer ; he m.ay be co-pilot across the Atlantic.
