WAIPUKURAU THEATRE
"Three Live Ghosts" Seldom has a funnier or more completely entertaining photoplay come to the Waipukurau Theatre than "Three Live Ghosts," which will be screened to-morrow at eight. Giving Richard Arlen one of his flnlest opportunities • at the head of a notable cast which includes Beryl Mercer, Clande Allister and' Charles MeNaughtcb, who were in the previous production, the picture moves with lightning speed through a series .o'f adventures which . are at once hilarious, thrillins and romantie. In its earlier forms, the story was an international hit, hrst as a book and then as a play, but the screen gives it a «scope and freshness that were impossible in its earlier presentatioris. "Three Live Ghosts" is the story of three soldiers — an American, a Cockney and a titled Englishman, goofy from shellshock — who return from the war after imprisonment in a German camp, to find themselves officially listed as "dead." "Three Live Ghosts" was produced for Metro-Goldwyn-May-er. It is a picture that ranks high in entertainment values and is enthusiastieally recommended.
