Passengers Unable to Signal Driver 85 CHINESE DEAD

(Eeceived 18, 11.15 a.m.) CANTON, Jan. 17. Believed to be due to the ignition of a celluloid article, a fire broke out on the1 Kowloon-Canton express. The train had no communication cord and sped on while three carriages burned. ' Eight-five bodies have been brougkt to Canton, including 35 women and children. It is feared that the death roll will exceed a hundred. Three bodies were found hanging from the windows, indieating that death oceurred while trying to climb out.
