HAWKE'S BAY DISTRICT COMMITTEE

The Hawke's Bay District Committee met in the Jockey Club office at the Hastings racecourse yesterday at 2.15 p.m.; present, Messrs. G. D. Beatson (chairman), Messrs. T. Y. Morrin, W. J. Wood, C. E. Twist, P. F. Wall, G. Ebbett, F. P. Kelly and J. J. Gatenby. Various reports were received from the stipendiary stewards acting at the recent race meetings. The N.£. Racing Conference advised the licences issued in December for both. training and riding. An application from the Napier Park Club to alter the dates of its winter meeting to June 24 and 26 was approved. The following programmes were approved: Woodville District Jockey Club February 20 and 22; Napier Park Club March 4 and 6, approved subject to the reading of Rules 224 and 225. A list of fines and penalties and the inspector's reports were received from Woodville, Waipukurau and Hawke's Bay. Applications for licences to ride were referred to the N.Z. Racing Conference.
