H.B. JOCKEY CLUB
The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club met in the club's office at the Racecourse at 3.15 p.m. yesterday; present, Messrs. G. Eeatson ('jnairman), J. J. Gatenby, T. V. Morrin, W. J. Wood, F. P. Kelly, J. A. Macfarlane, Hon. H. A. Russell, T. H. Lowry, W. A. Tod, T. S» Roulston, G. A. Maddison, G. Ebbett. Letters of appreciation were received from institutions for the use of rooms for meetings. It was resolved that the club £ubscribe to the Hawke's Bay Employers' Association. Stipendiary stewards report of the smmer meeting was read and proved very satisfactory. The secretary handed in his resignation as from January 1. It was resolved to advertise for applications in vaxious papers to be received on or before February 16. It was resolved that a meeting of debenture holders be called for Friday afternoon February 12, in the club's office. The interim statement of the summer meeting showed a substantial surplus and members expressed satisfaction at the results whieh assisted so much towards the success and progress of the club. Accounts and financial statement were placed before the meeting and approved.
