From Our Own Correspondent.) EUCHRE SOCIAL AND DANCE. HUNTER ROAD ASSEMBLY. There was a good attendance at the euchre social and dance held at Hunter Road on Thursday evening. Tlie winners of the various prizes are as follows : Ladies, Aliss- Al. Startup (13 games) 1, Miss I. Reid (10 games) 2, after playing off with Aliases N. Rowlands and Olive Simpson; men, Messrs Maurice Carter 1, F. Startup 2, after playing off with Mr "VV. Alurphy. After supper had been served all joined 1 in dancing to music played by Air H. Hansen. A Alonte Carlo waltz was won by Air T. Huckstep and Miss I. Robertson. FARMERS’ UNION. At a meeting of the Alatapu branch ■of tlie Farmers’ Union on Alonday evening, All- W. Seed presiding, it was decided that the judging of the hay and ensilage competition bo hold on Tuesday, July 11.
