LANDING OF THE ASTREA
GOING ON TO SYDNEY

DARWIN, June 19.
The Imperial Airways liner Astrea, having refuelled this morning on Bathurst Island, took off at 4 p.m. and arrived at Darwin at 5.5 local time. The airmen made a splendicT landing and received a very cordial welcome from a large crowd. Father Gsell, of Bathurst Island, immensely enjoyed his first flight. ,
Major Brackley, who was most courteous to everybody, paid a tribute to Father Gsell’s goodness, saying he had been a very good friend whom Major Erackley was glad to have had on the trip. Major Brackley also” acknowledged his first meal of kangaroo meat at Bathurst Island. He said it was most enjoyable. The Astrea will be thrown open for inspection and will be refuelled tonight. the flight for Sydney to be resumed at daybreak.
