FALSE PRETENCE CHARGE

ACCOUNTANT ARRESTED. MONEY FOR FIDELITY BOND. (By Telegrnph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 19. Arrested on a. warrant, Joseph Huddleston, aged 28, described as an accountant, alias Joseph Oppenheim, alias Bernard Lowbatch Ewskey, appeared in the Police Court to-day charged with being a rogue and vagabond in that on January 31 he imposed on F. K. Holden and obtained £4 17s 6d by falsely representing that the money was for a fidelity bond in the firm of J. Oppenheim and Co., bankers, of Auckland. Accused was remanded for a week.
