This, morning it was disqovoivid that a double burglary had occurred at Eketahuna during the week-end. The walls of the office were plastered with butter used for . packing. Hie tills in the shop were opened, but only £1 0s 3d was secured. Apparently no goods were taken.

The primary school was also entered and all drawers were ransacked. Here the burglars used the school utensils o make a cup of tea, also- taking the school biscuits.
