The match, was drawn. ENGLISH COUNTY PLAY. YORKSHIRE’S EASY VICTORY. LONDON, June 16. The county cricket matches resulted: Somerset in the first innings made 253 and in the second 94. Middlesex in the first innings made 266 (Lee 82; J. Lee five for 69) and in the second, made 82. Middlesex won by eight wickets. /
Warwick in the first innings- made 401 (Bates 72, Santall 71) and in the second two for 167. Surrey in the first innings made 457 (Hobbs 100, Gregory 92). Surrey won on the first innings. Essex in the first innings made 259 (Cornford six for 66) and in the second lost six for 297, declared (Outmore (117). Sussex in the first innings made 150 (Nicholls five for 67, Daer four for 361 and in the second 112 (Nicholls five for 37, Daer five for 39). Essex won by 294 runs.
' Gloucester in the first innings made 529 (Hammond 239) and in the second lost one for 104, declared (Dacre not out 62). Glamorgan in the first innings made 454 (Turnbull 122, Duckfield not out 128) and in the second lost three for 63. Gloucester won on the first innings. Nortahnts in the first innings made 27 (Macaulay seven for 9, Verity three for 15) and in the second 68 (Macaulay four for 25, Bowes four for 20). Yorkshire in .the first innings made 301 (Sutcliffe 113; Junp -six for 99). Yorkshire won by an innings and 206 runs. Hampshire in the first innings made 254 runs (Bailey 91) and in the second 106 (S. Staples six for 28). Notts in the first innings made 30-2 for nine wickets, declared (Harris 71; Herman five for 63) and in the second lost two for 59. Notts won by eight wickets. Lancashire in the first innings made 321 (Hopwood 119, Iddon 132; Freeman seven for 114) and in the second reached 168 for eight wickgf s, declared (Freeman six for 57). Kent in the first innings made 303 (Iddon four for 19) and in the second lost one for 115. Lancashire won on the first innings.
Leicester in the first innings/ scored 1 351 for nine wickets ,declared/ (RiS•dington 85) and in the second 223 (Perks six or 60). Worcester in the first innings made 427 (Gilbons 1515. Nichol 111) and in the second made 50 without loss. Worcester won on the first innings.
