Britain’s fastest mail carrier, a twinengined Boulton and Paul plane built to the order of the Air Ministry, made a successful demonstration, flight at Norwich to-day. The machine is designed for Empire routes and is capable of 100 miles nonstop flight at 150 miles an hour at half throttle and 200 miles an hour at top speed. Mails may be sorted en route and dropped or picked up without landing. Storage is provided for 1000 lb of mail. ‘ It is understood a test flight to Australia is contemplated. The machine could reach Capetown in three days and Darwin in under seven days.
