ANGLICAN CHURCH SOCIAL
The second of a,series of euelire parties arranged by tlie Anglican social committee was held in the Te Kiri hall. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. W. Crawford, and Mr. .T. Hooker won the men's prize, (donated by Mr. R. H. Gatenby). Two “lucky” prizes were given by Mr. J. Hooker and were won' by Mrs. C\ Wemyss and Mr. Jessop. Mr. J. Hooker (Opunake) played the dance music.
PERSONAL
A “kitchen” evening was given to Miss' Alma. Mildenhall in the Waiteika school on Friday evening, on the eve of her marriage. The time was spent in dancing and competitions, the winners being Messrs IV. Coxhead and J. Mildenhall and partner. Mr. Head presented a nice array of gifts to the quest of the evening, with the best wishes of the gathering. Mr. Hammond and Mr. J. Mildenhall replied on behalf of Miss Mildenhall. Mrs. Pitt, of Stratford, spent the week-end with her son, Mr. T. Pitt.' Mrs. T. Pitt and her little daughter Noeleen are visiting Wanganui
