ELECTRICITY CHARGES LOWER
REDUCTIONS AT WELLINGTON
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. June 15
The City Council to-night adopted recommendations from the electricity and tramways committee to reduce the tariff for commercial electric lighting to 5d a unit up to an assessed maximum and ljd thereafter, the discount rates for domestic accounts to he increased from 3d to 4d a unit, making the net rate 4d a unit. The new rates will be the lowest in New Zealand except Christchurch, where the tariff is on a different basis.
